“I was simultaneously intrigued and unsettled by many of his images, all of which are insanely intricate in detail, meticulously crafted and somewhat darkly thought-provoking.”

For the past 30 years, I‘ve been repurposing ephemera to create images that feel three-dimensional, play with scale and content, disregard norms, and manifest the inner life of characters. If your mind is plunged into unknown territory and your imagination sparked with shock and humor, I will feel I have succeeded.
The Wall - a dancer’s story
While at a dinner party in 2015, a friend asked to see photos from my years as a dancer and choreographer. In the process of digging up the long buried material, I discovered that, with the aid of some text, there was a story worth telling. My memoir The Wall - a dancer’s story is the result. It begins with my earliest memories and my first tap lesson at age 7 and progresses to my time touring the world with The Paul Taylor Dance Company . . . and then beyond. This book is a greatly extended version of Archive 1957-1974, published in 2015. 160 pages. Over 100 photos. Published by Maxwell Waters.
